how to control watsapp connection on symbian phone

I’ ve been receiving bunch of emails and messages some few weeks ago about How to disconnect Whatsapp on Both Java(s40) and Symbian(S60) Phones. In this post am touching both on Symbian(S60) , Java(S40), Only in iphone it disconnects as u close the app. T his is strictly for nokia phones which you can now connect and disconnect your whatsapp messaging Application software at your will and at your own risk by following this very shot simple steps. A ctually to i personally i dont think its necessary disconnect your Whatsapp messaging software since its a cross- platform messaging app, an extreme alternatives to SMS messaging, this app is just like SMS message on mobile phone at default. Just like removing default Messaging that comes with phones. When you disconnect Whatsapp from auto connecting, this doesn’t mean your new messages after disconnecting will not be delivered to you, all new messages will be delivered immediately you connect back. Lets see what you are here for bellow! Dont forget read and share to friends. m ost people complain its draining their battery and MB but to me this app is made to extent that its doesn’t consume too much of mb, let me say nothing at all. But i wouldnt hesitate to drop what you guys are looking for because of my own convenient moment. How To Disconnect Whatsapp From Connecting On S60 Phones STEP 1 N avigate to your Menu > settings > connectivity > destinations now look carefully one by one depending on how many access points you have on your phone (but I guess you keep only one and delete the rest) just creat a password to all the access points. Now whenever your whatsapp tries to connect to the internet, your phone will request for a password, by this password request you can grant or denied access to internet for whatsapp or any other app trying to connect to the internet. N ow If you do not enter the password for the access point and press ok to the request, you phone wont grant whatsapp any connection to the internet (there should be option to press cancel by the left hand side of your screen at that moment). A ssuming you are already connected and you wish to disconnect it, you can either press and hold the red button on the phone’s key pad (especially e-series users) or you navigate to the connection manager on your phone and disconnect T o re-connect your whatsapp, just navigate to where your whatsapp is located and open it, then it will ask for the password for the access point, you should now provide it and grant it an acess to the internet. STEP 2 A new way to stop whatsapp connection is installing an antivirus with firewall & put whatsapp in untrusted apps list. Dont forget to put the firewall in On mode. Then it will kill the app for this purpose any antivirus will do even free version will work, i’m using netquin paid version on my S60. Now when you want whatsapp to connect open the antivirus go to firewall settings set whatsapp as trusted app, now click on whatsapp icon & it can connect to the internet all the time. When u wish to disconnect again go to settings & set it as untrusted app and you are done. T hats all for symbian phones
